Continuing from the previous planes of the head and value studies. I found a couple of heads on google that had some decent lighting and practiced laying in value while keeping the planes of the head in mind. For the second head I limited myself to just three values and tried to make good shapes. The first head is all hard edges, if I was going to take it further I would smooth out the transitions between some of the values, but again, I wanted to just limit myself.
